WELCA Program Scheduled for May 21st

WELCA will meet for a Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, May 21st at 9:30 am. Our program will be by Marla Engbloom on her trip to Israel/Palestine when the bishops were there. It should be very interesting. All ladies of the church are welcome!

Recognition of New Graduates

Please contact the church office with the names of our high school graduates and their future plans, and also the names of anyone graduating with an associate’s degree, baccalaureate degree, or graduate degree. We would like to recognize their hard work. Thank you!

Learn to Knit or Crochet with Dorcas Members

The Dorcas Society’s next meeting is May 6th. The program that evening will be “Learn to Knit or Crochet”. If you would like to learn or brush up on your needlework skills come join us. Yarn will be available, however bringing your own knitting needles or crochet hooks. All are welcome!

End of Year Party Scheduled for May 17th

The Discovery Kingdom Sunday School will be having their End of the Year Party on May 17th. Help us celebrate another wonderful year of Rotational Sunday School!

Activities are planned for kids of all ages, as well as our traditional gift basket raffle. Vacation Bible School registration forms will be available as well.Contact the Family and Youth team for more information.

Plant Sale May 9th

The Family and Youth team will be having a plant sale on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Proceeds from the plant sale will support the Youth for their trip to the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer.

Any unsold plants will be available for purchase on Sunday, May 10th. Stop by the Fellowship Hall after worship to get a head start on your garden!

Sunday School Singing on May 10th

Our Savior’s Sunday School children will be singing in worship on May 10th. Please have your children to church by 8:40 a.m. Kids should meet in the Gathering Room to warm up!

Butter Braids Still Available

The butter braid sale was a great success! Thanks to all who purchased or helped with distribution. If you didn’t get a chance to purchase a butter braid, the Family and Youth team still has a few left to sell. If interested, contact the church office or email the Family and Youth team. Thanks!

The Youth and Family Ministry Team Needs You!

Good, because we need you! The Youth and Family Ministry Team is looking for people like you who care about our youths’ futures and would like to invest in their lives. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the team, please contact the church office, or join us at our next meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Task Force Members Needed

The Church Council has three projects ready to start now:

• Our 150th anniversary as a congregation is in 2011, and we will start celebrating next year. That anniversary committee is looking for people ready to plan.
• There is a need for people who want to use their visioning, planning, design or construction gifts to help the renovation of our Fireside Room. It has been completely cleared out to the bare floor and walls (you are free to look in) and we are ready to step forward.
• We need one person to work on a short-term task force to help us choose new tables and chairs for the Fellowship Hall.

Our Savior’s Polo Shirts for Sale

Incorporating our beautiful new church logo, these shirts are fine quality 65% poly/35% cotton collared polo shirts that should not shrink. In men’s sizing, S, M, L, XL and XXL, each size comes in a variety of colors. When colors sell out, we will take orders for more, which will arrive shortly. The cost is $20, and the money goes to our youth heading to the Youth Gathering in New Orleans. These will make wonderful gifts and be a great outreach for our church as well. They are available in the church office during business hours.
